The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble.

Heavenly Father,

We come to You with a prayer for Shelby County, Tennessee, seeking Your refuge and strength. In Your Word, You promise to be a stronghold for the oppressed and a source of safety in times of trouble.

We pray for those in our community who are facing hardship. Be their protector, Lord, and provide them with the comfort and support they need. Let Your presence be a constant reminder of hope and safety.

Guide our community leaders with Your wisdom. Help them to create policies and environments that uphold justice, equity, and compassion. May they lead with integrity, always mindful of the well-being of every resident.

Strengthen the bonds of our community, Lord. Inspire us to look out for one another, to extend a hand to those in need, and to build a community where everyone feels valued and supported.

We trust in Your unfailing love and care. May Your peace and justice reign in Shelby County, and may we reflect Your love in our actions and decisions.
