When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

Heavenly Father,

We approach Your throne of grace, seeking Your light for Shelby County, Tennessee. Lord, as the light of the world, shine Your wisdom and guidance upon our community. In every decision, in every challenge, may Your light lead the way.

We pray for those in the shadows of uncertainty or hardship. Illuminate their paths with hope and clarity. May Your presence dispel all darkness, bringing comfort and direction to those who feel lost or alone.

Guide our leaders and citizens alike. Let Your truth and love be the guiding principles in our homes, schools, and workplaces. Inspire us to follow Your example, to be lights in our community, reflecting Your care and compassion in our actions.

Strengthen us in our journey of faith and growth. Help us to seek Your light daily, growing ever closer to You and to one another in unity and purpose.

We thank You for Your unceasing love and mercy. We place the well-being of Shelby County in Your capable hands.
