Ephesians 4:25 MSG

What this adds up to, then, is this: no more lies, no more pretense. Tell your neighbor the truth. In Christ’s body we’re all connected to each other, after all. When you lie to others, you end up lying to yourself.

Heavenly Father,

You are the source of all truth and the foundation of all genuine community. Your character, perfect in honesty and unity, guides us to live openly and authentically with one another. We come before You today to seek Your blessings for Shelby County, Tennessee, praying that our community might embody Your truth and foster the unity You desire.

We ask, Lord, that You instill in us a spirit of truthfulness. Help us to put away falsehood and embrace honest communication with our neighbors. May our words and actions reflect Your integrity, building trust and fostering clear understanding among us.

Guide us to recognize and cherish the deep connections we share within our community. Teach us to act not only for our individual good but also for the collective well-being of Shelby County. Strengthen our bonds, Father, so that in unity we might face challenges more robustly and share joys more completely.

Encourage us, O God, to live with authenticity. Let our community be a place where people feel safe to be themselves, supported by a culture of acceptance and truth. Empower our leaders and all who hold influence to lead with transparency and honor, setting a standard that uplifts and inspires.

Protect us from divisiveness and guide us toward reconciliation where there is strife. As we build a community grounded in Your truth, let peace and prosperity flourish in every corner of Shelby County.

We place all our hopes and plans in Your faithful hands, trusting that You will lead us toward a future filled with the blessings of Your truth and peace.

We offer this prayer in the sacred name of Christ Jesus, our Lord.

Amen.
